D3X evening shot taken during snow storm
Just thought it would be good to post this. sorry it is not a wildlife image.

This is a shot taken showing the aviary area at night during a snow storm, some lighting helped.

Taken at 10pm, no flash was used

D3X
Sigma 10-20mm
Taken using 10mm lens setting
0.62sec exposure time
ISO 1600
F4
Aperture Priority
Taken one handed whilst hiding the camera under a coat, you can make the coat out on the edges

Image untouched, just resized for web

We,ve had heavy snow again tonight in Buckinghamshire :frown: was hoping it would of all finished by now.. Starting to get a little concerned for my local Barnies, hope they stashed plenty of Voles in the larder.....

Centre looks great Vince, at least your Owl's are warm and feed...

Vincent, its not the coat, the 10-20 is a DX crop lens and your getting vignetting from the image circle being smaller than the sensor so you get the black circle, the odd shape is due to the lens hood..
