This is from our December ice break up the ice was running and pileing up on bank, was about 6" thick this day the sun was working on it and I shot several images. Again this looks a lot better on large screen.

This is beautiful Kendall....I love the lines and the play of light. I find the open spot lower left a little distracting, and like this even better with that cropped out. But this is excellent...
Good find. The crystalline nature of the ice really comes through. I agree with CJ's crop suggestion.

Beautiful image, Kendall. I could spend a lot of time looking at the play of light through the ice.

Looks like a shot of rare crystal. I agree with the suggested crop.

Kendall, the ice looks like crystal to me. I would add some contrast to it to bring out some variance in the surface of the ice and might consider adding a color tone to it as well. To me the right side ice detracts as it is a different texture, so I'd crop it and the open space at the bottom is distracting to me too. The left side and middle are where the interest lies to me anyway. Good eye to see this!

Kendall...using the above suggestions I took the liberty of doing a bit of editing: Contrast, Selective Color, added a "Cool" filter, cropping and Unsharp. See what you think....
