This small mushroom was already declining and looked very fragile. I don't now the name in Engish but in Dutch it is called a Pleated Skirt (Coprinus plicatilis). I've tried to capture the fragility by using a large aperture in order to get a painterly effect.
Nikon D70s with 150 mm macro, iso 200, f 5, 1/125 sec. with natural light from a beanbag.
I like that a lot Sandra. The diffuse green gives the image an ethereal feeling. Lovely image indeed.

.. and you have succeeded too. I love the diffuse greens and simplicity of the shot. I think here this one is called the pleated ink cap, but I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm wrong !!

Nice work, defused oof green grass and the superb detail on the cap make this a very pleasing image...

Very striking image, I like the contrast in textures between infocus/OoF, and I like the composition.
I must get me one of those beanbags that give out natural light!

I too just made that one Greg made me chuckle. Nearly went to see where the switch was on mine.
Sorry Sandra now your image:
Its the simplicity of it all that makes this image. You picked this one well and for me it might be try all day but never make it look this good as you have done here.
