The buck stops here
Cades Cove,GSMNP. I'm so glad some of the bucks still had their racks and came out to pose. This fellow stopped just for a second near the big tree. I'm pleased by how warm the color is for a winter coat. That could be the "cloudy" setting I had the WB on.
Canon XTI,70-200mm,1/1600 sec @ f7.1
Comments and suggestions appreciated

I like the first one better.

What's wrong with a warm coat? It looks beautiful.

Both look great to me. I think there are some possible crop options too, but this is wonderful as is. Nice shot!

I'm with Lance and also like the first pic Leann. The second, while potentially more "natural", is not as attractive to my eyes. Both are nice shots though!! I utilized a warming filter fairly often in my film days, many times combined with Velvia 50, so I love warm!! Still use cloudy wb some, however I have migrated over time to a Auto WB with an warm push for outside work with my newest cameras. It did not work that well with the D2X or older, but pretty darned well with the D3/700. I have been pleasantly surprised and pleased with the results most of the time, very accurate tones with a pop of warmth. I was out of town last week, so I missed the big snow!!! It looks like it was fun though!
