Many of you will have seen this sort of scene - the stalker feeding deer in some remote Highland glen in the depths of winter.
It is, however, becoming more controversial, as increasing deer numbers are seen as having a negative impact upon highland biodiversity. Scottish Natural Heritage are actually considering a shortening of the closed season, to allow greater numbers to be culled in sensitive areas.
Less controversially, on this particular occasion the late afternoon light was just perfect, even if the temperature was heading towards minus double-digits!
Thanks for looking

Controversial or not it would have made a great opportunity to get some nice shots of the stags in the snow and that great ambient light..! I say bring back the wolf..!
Interesting story behind the scene and thanks for sharing..

I agree with Brett about the wolf, mind you venison burgers seem to be getting more popular...
Great lighting, and I hope you got some shots of the stags on their own as well.

It might be me, but perhaps a very slight CW rotation, looking at in particular the pylons.
A very interesting shot which tells a nice story.
Nice scene.
I agree with Ray about the CW rotation.
