I'm glad we had less snow than you down here in the southeast, John, but you seem to have made the most of the opportunity. Another cracking shot.

Very nice indeed John, I think I might have taken a little more off of the LHS but that's just my opinion..

Thanks both
May try that later Brett
Here's a shot of the setup. The photographer is Roy Blewitt.
Had to have a pale coloured lens to show up in the pic !!
So there you see it - nothing special at all

Yet another craking shot. Now the set up gives me food for thought. I feel I have been far too
enthusiastic and overwelmed my feeding station. Creating complications.
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice fieldfare John - they look right in their element with the snow. Agree with Brett about the left hand side. Thanks once again for sharing your set up - although my garden feeders are dead once I find someone willing to let me set up something in a wood I'll be copying all your approaches!
I'v cleaned the windows , moved the chair , just waiting for the b...... birds now , thanks for the insight John , it looks far more civilized than sitting out on the marshes at this time of year .

This is more or less how I have my set up John.
All I need is for a fieldfare to turn up lol. Nice one!

Hi John, this ticks all the boxes for me.
Also thanks for the tip! I'm starting to get fieldfares visiting the apples on my garden, managed a few shots but nowhere near your standard. Also made a note of a snippet of information you gave on another post about pegging the apples down to prevent blackbirds removing them Duly noted!
Managed to find one of my missing apples yesterday, alas the blackbirds had been beaten to it and it was recovered from my resident rats larder

I reckon youve got a snow making machine as well John. Just goes to show what you can do in your own home.
Made me think about making more use of my garden in the future, but I am sure the draw of the coast will tempt me away once again.
