I monitor several photo sites.

One is exclusively NIKON. The moderator is overseas. Although I've learned a few things on that site too often the topic goes on forever and does not really address the original question.

Digital Imaging on NP is great. Plethora of issues and techniques. Answers are crisp and to the point.

I've learned a lot just by reading NP and I want to thank those who are advanced, and who take time to answer questions, for sharing with those, like me, who are not.

Also, to the moderators, which I presume can sometimes be a thankless job....

THANKS!!!!!!!! :toast:

To the moderators...THANKS. I echo Larry's thoughts. It is usual to rate the performance of volunteer leaders by the number of complaints received. By default, silence means you're doing well. Moderaters here do a super job. Ever in Auburn WA...drop me a line, I'll take you out for a coffee or something. Ken S

I second all that!!!

BTW, what does "the moderator is overseas" imply? Time zone issues?

Hans,

You asked a good question about my statement, "the moderator is overseas".

I've been trying to come up with a good answer. Have none except that was the experience of being banned. Hard to swallow when the issue was profits and the greed of CEO's at the outset of the current financial debacle.

I just joined again under a different e-mail and name...

In fairness to him, it was off the topic of cameras with the exeption of pricing of equipment.

And, of course, the time zones make no difference.

And, my last name is spelled Fischer.... :wavey:
