Hi all, I'll be staying in the south of Paris next week. Does anyone know of anywhere that I should visit? There's the Parc Naturel Régional de la Haute-Vallée de Chevreuse, which looks interesting but is pretty vast. I'll be grateful for any info that you may have for that neck of the woods.

Well Central Paris has more than you might expect. Apart from the less savory visitors to the north end of the Bois de Boulogne there are quite large colonies of red squirrels!
The Parc de bagatell in the same area has provided me with a lot of birds, herons, green woodpeckers etc. There are feeding stations set up in both Bois de Vincennes and Bois de boulogone ( never been good for me tho!!
