Drone Fly out of hibernation
The slightly milder weather bought this Drone Fly out of hibernation today. It still looked a bit damp and cold though...

1000 pixel version HERE.

Canon 30D with MP-E 65 macro lens, f13, 1/160, ISO 100, diffused Speedlight on side bracket. Full frame.

All C+C welcomed.

many thanks for taking the time to comment Phil, Tom and Magnus.

With 153 views and 3 comments I seem to have broken my previous views to comments ratio by some margin  I quite liked this shot too

Your usual high standard Matt. It's a mystery to me how you get the Dof so accurately placed hand-holding this lens, but it seems to work very well for you. You've got the flash set-up taped as well, I would never have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it which is just as it should be.
BTW I managed 205 for 5 the other day which was my record as well!

Thanks Barrie and Eric. Eric, if these were cricket scores we'd be doing quite well
