We're considering a week on the Barrier Islands of the Outer Banks in either March or April. Is that time of year still considered off-season with fewer vacationers? We're hoping for a quiet strolls along the beach as well as some interesting photography. Suggestions?

It's been a few years since I was there (formerly from Tidewater VA). That is still the off season, but that place blew up in the last ten years. You will not have the normal numbers of vacationers you see in the summer. Head north to Corolla or south past Hatteras and you should be able to find some nice secluded areas and you may even get some wonderful weather! OBX used to be my favorite place on the planet ... enjoy!

Great time of year to go. You can rent a home for less than $1,000 per week. North of Corolla is 4 wheel area with wild horses.
