B.O. contrajour
After several weeks of observation I chose my spot. Three hours later the sun came up and this wonderful bird chose just the right place. A dream fulfilled.

Quite unfazed by the camera he hung around for ten minutes.

Satisfaction in proportion to effort. I'll be happy for weeks

Lighting doesn’t look quite right to me. It is obviously back lit, but there is good definition/lighting camera side of the owl, particularly evident if you look at the perch, no evidence of any shadows.

Still an excellent shot, I particularly like the pose of the owl.

Hi Paul,

Your patience has been rewarded!! Could do with a little more USM for me. Also it's a she not a he  ( you can tell by the spots down her flank).

Watch out!!!! Once you start watching these magnificent birds you are hooked!! I'm sure they will give you a great Summer.

Regards

Rob
