I am in the area of Wissington, Norfolk next week to complete some ecology work. I was hoping during the golden hours to trade my ecology gear for my camera. I wont have much time to explore so could anyone help me out with some decent photographic locations? Maybe for Barn Owl or SEO?

Will prob spend at least one morning/ evening in the hides at Titchwell or Snettisham.

Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated as far from my usual Oxfordshire patch.

I know the areas from Snettisham right round to Horsey Gap very well indeed.

I've never seen SEO in the area although I've seen lots of Barnies. My advice is at about 3.30 - 4pm, take a slow drive along the A149 (from Titchwell to say, Salthouse) and keep an eye on the fields and hedgerows. I'd be surprised if you didn't see a Barn Owl.

My other fav spots are East Bank and Salthouse Pools plus the Pine Wood walk along the back of Holkham Beach.

Thanks Graham, that helps a great deal. I expected that I would prob see some Barn Owls but since they are pretty territorial it is always good if someone knows a good patch.

I know quite a few spots where I've seen Barnies all along that route, but obviously there no guarantees that if I give details, they will be where I last saw them - plus, I don't as a rule publicise specific sites.

Last year, I saw more than I have ever before which was great. Good luck and drop me an em if you want more info.
