Grey heron reflection
Well, I thought I was going to get what I was after this morning .. but just as the heron got to where I wanted it, a couple of tufties dive bombed what was a perfect reflection. Always tomorrow ..

Routine adjustments in LR. About 10% crop left and top.

Very nice all the same! Judging by the reflection, looks as if it needs some rotation.

If I line up the bill tips with the side of my monitor it starts to make me think that it could do with some rotation, I’m not saying do it, just look at it, particularly as this is a crop and you might well have room to play with.

I see you played safe with your settings, think I might have tried for f8.

Even with considering the above I think this is an excellent shot, well seen and taken.

A fine reflective shot Dave.
Did it catch anything? :toast:

Many thanks for the comments. I have done a small rotation, and it looks much better, although not worth a repost I don't think.

Yes Major, it caught a small perch just after this shot was taken but managed to hide most of the action behind the grass!

damn those tufties, definitely worth a revisit if you can get the glass like reflection, but this is a nice image in its own right :)
