This bird has moved into a clearing beside a walkway at the local country park. Unlike most buzzards this one does not seem to be phased by the 200 people on the walkway, during the 3 hours I was watching it at a distance of no more than 20m, including shouting kids barking dogs etc. Taking no notice of the squirrels or pigeons just below a feeder it seems to be on the lookout for frogs which are becoming more plentiful.

very nicely caught, and unusual to see a Buzzard so at ease with people in such close proximity.

Incredible shot! Boy, he looks mean. The fanning of the tail is a bonus. I see loads of these locally, but can never get them to stay put.
Would have liked more space top and bottom, otherwise an excellent shot, and well worth returning, hopefully in slightly better light so that you can use f8/11 so as to the tail into focus.
A really excellent capture.

This is the best shot for a while, and lets be honest there have been some fantastic shots this last week or so, love the menace in this picture.

Few distractions in the BG but the bird more than makes up for that. Lovely pose and the intent look in the eye says it all.
Agree woth the distractions but what a great shot and bird, bet it was great just to have been that close.....

What a superb shot. The bird is big enough, sharp enough and detailed enough to cope with the bg distractions IMO, in fact the environment adds to it for me. Tremendous image. Eric
