Every autumn the elk rut in Mammoth Hot Springs turns into a riot of cows wandering about through the houses with testosterone fuelled bulls in hot pursuit. This cow caught my eye and I loved both the shaft of light coming down the wall towards it, and the woman's hand shape echoing the shape of cows head.
What an amazing image! The continuous line drawn by shaft of light, through the elk and the woman's hand is just great. I also like the use of light, with the lightest parts at the very front and back giving the image such depth. And all the squares and rectangles. And..

Weird :-) Looks like the elk lives in the house and about to get a lift from the lady. Needs a silly caption.

I love this image tells a story, I am surprised by the number of comments but I think as photographers we tend to see only the things we are used too and a Deer being picked up for work is not one of them

This is a bizarre place, and this image captures only a flavour of it - with cows wandering about all over the town, and demented bulls chasing after them and trying to fight off other equally crazed bulls, all of which is being overseen by the National Park Rangers who are cordoning of sidewalks, putting up cones and bawling through loudhailers at people who get too close to the action......which basically involves standing anywhere in town and waiting until an elk fight comes to you!
I watched two people try to get out of the Post Office, unsuccessfully, as a rampant bull was on the steps outside keeping a close eye on a cow that was drinking from the garden sprinkler!
