Out here on the Pacific Coast we mostly get sunsets at out beaches or the the earth's shadow but out on the Islands you can get both sunset and sunrise. It's about the only time the Islands are green and covered with with wild flowers.

If so I'll find out if they give group discounts. I'm thinking late March or April. It's about $60-$90 to camp there depending on which Island you stay at. That pays the boating company to get you on the long boat ride over and back.

I was told going to the farthest island, the boat ride takes you to a cool painted water grotto at the end of Santa Cruz island... A nice bonus.

Steve, sounds like a neat place to visit. I saw the Huell Howser special on the CI's sometime back now. Looked like a great place. I hope you make the trip and can catch some good scenes to share with us.

Steve I'm in, it's gotta be after march 30th for me though - but I'd really love to get out there, it's actually on my list of places I need to get for a project, so I'm happy you posted this!

I too have had this on my short list of places to shoot. Hopefully, I'll know more in the near future whether I can make such a trip. This sounds like it would be a good time.

I check into their drop off and pick up schedule. It changes as their business picks up. I've been out there twice already each time for only one night on Anacapa and Santa Cruz.. It can get pretty foggy out there in an instant. I'll try to post some shots here just as a reminder.
