A wonderful image, Richard. The eye follows the river to the mountains and sunrise. The water is slightly creamy but shows some detail. Morning haze and ominous clouds, you got it all.

I'll bet that light lasted about 10 seconds! And you GOT IT!! I so miss spending time in the field...images like this help to bring the feeling home to me though. Thanks for the inspiration! Stunning!! That curve in the river leading straight to the light is magical. Check out my new web site when you get a chance...I think it's a lot more user friendly. katesilviaphotography.com

Wow! Great shot! It grabbed me and took me up the river, by the fog, & into the early sun light. Great Job!

Richard, what brings your up to the northern end of your range?  Beautiful winter sunrise and great capture of the standing waves in the water.

I wouldn't have picked this as yours because of the darker mood I take from it.Very powerful in that the mood is "caution". True the sun is rising but the rest of the scene is tempestual with the jagged rocks, roaring water, cloudy sky.

Incredible light and mood. The river draws you directly into the promise of daylight. Really interesting.

Excellent! :toast:

Nice Richard.

Evokes a sense of primordial to me.
