... license that is.

The Flint Hills gathering yesterday was a big success thanks in large part to the numerous CSNP participants. We were greeted with cold temperatures and a consistent strong northwest wind. But the cold we endured didn't diminish the enjoyment of meeting and shooting with so many new friends.

Thanks to all for making the inaugural Flint Hills gathering such a big success. I'm look forward to seeing your images from the day!

BTW ... this sunset shot from Skyline Road includes the sky that was there in my mind's eye.

Oh and Dena, the stallions came right up to the fence just after you left.

Thanks again Wayne for organizing yesterdays gathering. It was nice meeting everyone and having the whirlwind tour of the Flint Hills.

I think it was Merle who said we were like the fisherman out on that cold lake, if you like to fish (or shoot pictures with new friends) you can overlook a little cold weather.

I see you made it back to Skyline road for some good shots. I just wish you could have shared those clouds with us.

Great light Wayne! I wish I could find hills like these in Arkansas...

Good grief Wayne. Where did you hide those clouds ??? Must have kept them in PS for use on a good image that needed the right touch. Thanks for organizing such a great get together. My wife has already told me I need to go back when the wild flowers are blooming. So....Kansas folks - let us know when the flowers are out and I will try to make it back over. Hopefully it will be warmer then.

I went to Milford lake this morning looking for the eagles. I saw a few, but they were in the trees and too far away for a good shot.

Thanks to all who attended for the inspiration and a good day with friends.

So, am I understanding this right, that Wayne was the only one who saw clouds?

Any way that worked out looks like a neat area and I look forward to seeing what everyone got.

So that's what that shot should look like. :-) Great job with the composition and the clouds!

Dang, I should have shivered a few more minutes to get the horses. I'll lure them back in the spring with sugar.

Thanks for organizing such a great day Wayne, I enjoyed shooting with everyone and hope to see you all again for wild flowers.

Cheater!!!

Nice composite shot. I really like the composition and shadowplay on the hills. Nice job.

Thanks again for organizing the event. Next time, make sure we have some warmer weather though, ok?
