On Saturday, fellow NPN member, Dave Bartlett, and I were on the South Fork of the Platte River. We had hoped for some snow but found almost none remaining from the Friday night storm. We decided to shoot some afternoon water reflections.
I am very interested in reading your reactions to this one. I tried all kinds of crops and decided on this version. How did I do? :)

Here is another reflection picture from Saturday on the South Platte.

Nice to see a new perspective such as these two shots Rod. I really like the idea on the first image. Even though they aren't terrible distractions, I wonder if you could have gotten any closer into the river to get beyond the dry spot on the lower left and rock on the lower right to get a better tree reflection. The color on the second image is great.

The far side of the river in the top shot doesn't do anything for me, I would crop it out completely. The reflection and foreground rock are strong enough to hold me. And those are some beautiful colors reflected in the second image. I like the little corner of blue to contrast with the orange. Nice work!

I am with both Joshua and Greg on their comments. Nice effort. I like the clarity of the reflection in the first one, and the color in the second, although it is a too soft on my monitor.
