One of my first shots of the day (and the coldest, I might add). I haven't really looked at the rest of my shots from the day yet but hope to soon.
I really enjoyed meeting everyone in person and putting faces to names. Had I actually felt like a human being that day, I would have enjoyed it even more! I hope some of us can get together again in the Flint Hills after the annual burns are over, the grass has come in deep and green, and the wildflowers are blooming (and when it's warmer)!

Hey Angela, Nice shot. I sure wish we could have moved that darn fence to somewhere else to clear the foreground. I have one very similiar and I know Dena does too. We were trying to figure a way to avoid the fence and I think you did the best thing - include it as part of the shot.
I will try my best to make it back over when the flowers are out. I think the Konza area will be better due to less dust to cover the flowers and dull the colors. Besides, hiking is good for the health..

Hi Angela,
You handled the fence posts on this one well, I think you found the right angle to make it work.
Great meeting you, looking forward to shooting again when it's warm!

Hi Angela, It was nice to meet you, I hope you are feeling better.
I like your title, it is very descriptive of your shot. The movement of the vegetation along the fence line with your title really portray how windy it was and the colors hint at how cold it was. Nice job.
I agree, it would be great to do it again when it is warmer and the grass is green.
Oh, and, rock chalk Jayhawk!

you captured the essence of that bitter Saturday morning, it was nice to meet you and hopefully next time you'll be feeling better

I know exactly where this was taken! And yes it was cold and windy, as can be attested to by the oof grasses. The pre-dawn light & moon you captured here unfortunately was the best light we would get that morning but we still had fun exploring. Nicely composed and captured Angela.
Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery.

I like how you placed the fence and the moon. I was curious how the shots from this area would turn out. I tried some telephoto shots of the colors in the pre-dawn sky, but didn't like any of them. Man it was cold that morning!!
