Was rearranging some stuff and came across this book my wife got me for my birthday about 10 years ago. Is anyone familiar with it?
It might surprise a lot of people to know that Ansel started photographing in color soon after Kodachrome was invented in the mid 30's, and made over 3,000 color prints during his lifetime. Most of these have never been published or exhibited.
This book contains 50 beautiful color images from places like Yosemite, Hawaii, and the desert southwest. Vey cool book, highly recommended if you can find it!

My wife and I came across that book in a store about 10 years ago and stood there reading it with our mouths open. Truly great work (as expected). Why didn't I buy it?!?

I looked through it a few years back, it was a great book. I was in the goodwill superstore here in portland the other day. They actually have so many books they are able to organize them in sections. I was looking specifically for an Ansel Adams book to add to my collection. I have several good photography books by Galen Rowell, Frans Lanting and George Steinmetz but not Ansel Adams books yet. I'll have to check again later or maybe powell's will have a used one at a reasonable price.
