I hid away on the edge of one of his favourite hunting grounds. Though he appeared on a number of occasions throughout the day opportunities for photographs remained elusive. I seemed always to be in the wrong place.
Mid day I went back to the car and after about ten minutes I noticed him sitting in a tree watching me eating my lunch. On returning to the field I saw him catch and eat his lunch. He then sat in a tree watching me watching him for almost an hour.
I did finaly manage this image. A great day.

As you say Paul a great day but what a great picture , the comp is spot on for me with the bird flying to exit bottom left. The bird/background contrast is just right. Very nice
Bob.
