I am aobut to upgrade my GPS. The TomTom Go 730 looks good, but I have a question. Does the touch screen allow you to drag the map to a different, nearby, location like an IPhone? I am aware that the Garming Nuvi 750 and 755 do.

yes you can do this but not directly from the main screen, you have to go over to the view map option and then you are free to move around, zoom-in/out, make poi etc..
ps i am using a tomtom go europe xl. So things might be slightly different on the 730 but i expect no big differences.
i have also used a tomtom go 910 and both of these gps devices have proved to be very reliable and easy to use.
