I'm processing images from both trips I just made and came across this little surprise I forgot about.

I see the people, but I like it anyway.

A little less light than the first one.

James, I'm sorry to say that these just don't seem all that impressive, especially after that ice image you posted. There just doesn't seem to be a clear focus, texture, shape, or decent light. Just my $0.02.

Except for the first one, I think these are a little blah and unfocused (conceptually). But I think that first one is excellent. It fits together nicely, has a nice flow to it.

One thing I'm not going to shy away from is a good honest critique! I think you nailed it Erik and Todd and I agree with your points of view. Thank you for confirming it for me. This is exactly what this forum and many others I have participated in over the years. We grow by sharing with each other our views good or bad, popular or not.

Hey James, I too agree with Stan and Todd; #1 works the best, the others I find the shadows a bit too dominant. The ice shots are very nice!, I saw some similar patterns at Sprague lake last time I as up there!.

Wow, I want Nick to help me pick Lottery numbers--he's agreed with me before i even posted And not only that--he's right, cause i agree with Todd!

The only problem is that I think he thinks that I'm Stan and that just doesn't seem right.

I too like the ice photos better. Definitely Sprauge lake ice, but I thought it had a little more sky blue color.
Yes, Nick really is an amazing guy with some fantastic abilities. But why is it the last few times he couldn't pick the location with the magic morning light?
As for confusing Eric and Stan, I can understand that one. Your both tall, young, athletic mountain men that take some great photos. It is easy to get the two of you confused.

Come to think of it, if Erik would just change one letter in his last name, he would have one real cool surname!

I just realized, I must of been physic that day, didn't even realize my own abilities!!. If only I could predict the clouds too at sunrise as Steven mentioned

I think everyone is spot on with their comments, James, and I do like your ice shots.
