A couple of years ago I read a report here comparing a number of self publishing services. For me, the take away was that Shared Ink was the 'winner' for print quality. Since so many new self publishing options have popped up, I was wondering if this conclusion remains true. I am primarily interested in achieving as close to true high end coffee table book quality as possible.
I still say that SharedInk is the best.

I can't make comparisons as I have only used Blurb, but the color reproduction has always been spot on for me and I highly recommend them. You do need to pay a bit extra for the premium paper but it's worth it.

Has anyone compared Shared Ink with the Apple book publishing that comes with iPhoto?

What color space and file type do they want for uploading? All my "good" images are saved in TIFF with Adobe RGB. I know it is easy to convert to 8 bit jpeg and sRGB, but are the results the same?
