Hi all,

I am curious whether anyone would know a good location/farms/areas to photograph large area of mustard seed/canola/rape seed fields in the southern California area?

I am fascinated with the bright yellow color mixed with green, but I have yet found a good place to photography. So any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Chun, I saw a fairly large area out in Moreno Valley last year. I assume some of those sprout up every year with good seasonal rains. I have not been to the area in some time, but it is off Redlands Blvd on your way to Redlands from MoVal. Just before you get to the MoVal Equestrian Center on Redlands Blvd. there is a road that you turn to the right on. It runs along the foothills known as the Badlands. In fact, many years a lot of the open fields around the Badlands between MoVal, Redlands, and Beaumont typically have a lot of mustard weed. This would include the road known as San Timoteo Canyon Road. It runs between MoVal & Redlands towards Yuciapa. Good luck.

There are always a lot of those on the drive back from Yosemite

La Grande is where a saw some good ones in early mid March.

Santa Monica Mountains always get those too. Have seen any yet besides little patches over the ocean in Malibu. That was this morning.
