I've been culling images from my hard drive and finding old images to re-process. I've always liked this image from the Grand Canyon I made 4 years ago. I re-processed it using new techniques and am much happier with the result. Thought I'd share it here with ya'll.
Thanks for having a look and leaving a comment.

I like it a lot, Bret. I wonder how it would look with some reduction in the hazy blue look in the distance, but whether or not you did that, it's still great.

It looks perfect to me! The yucca fits right in with all the angles and jagged edges of the bg. Ive got some gray sky shots that i wasnt gonna bother with from the South Rim...now you have me reconsidering

I like this one Bret, the yucca in the fg works well as Stan said. I also like the trail snaking off into the distance. I would maybe reduce the blues a little in the bg like Todd mentioned, this was well worth re-processing though!.

You certainly made the best of less than stellar light here. The trail fading off into the distance is cool.
I agree with the others on reducing the blues slightly.
Hey...wasn't this published by Inside/Outside Southwest magazine some time ago?

I think it was, John. That would have been the old version...not quite as nicely worked up as this one. D'oh!

I like it. The trail going into the canyon adds a lot of epth to the shot. Nicely done.

A compelling desert scene, Bret. Nice work with that Yucca. Would love to see it again with some more flattering light, but glad you revisited this one!

This is a really great save Bret. Considering the quality of the light, you have really made this one sing with your re-processing work!

Thanks for the comments, folks. I forgot to mention that I used a little fill flash on the yucca. As I recall the FG was a bit dark and just a touch of fill flash did the trick.

Very nice. Too often the views of this trail are all from the rim and you vantage is much better.

I like the comp. Would like to see a little more room on the bottom.
