Ice Storm Bison
Still going through stuff from the ice storm, and thought I'd ask about this one to see if it's working for anyone...seems to be lacking the emotional factor for me.

D2x, 80-200mm, f/8, 1/250th, ISO 100

Hey Bill, this may lack the emotional factor you are seeking but I think it tells a good story of how well adapted bison are to even the worst of weather. I like the pano crop and fg trees breaking up the procession. Well seen and done in my opinion.

no real emotion factor for me, but I do like the photo anyways, the crop accentuates the line of bison

I like the mood portrayed here of the endurance and nobility of the Bison. I don't know if that is what you were after but I like it.

I really like this shot, it seems to be a shot of bison I don't see all the time, has interesting lines and for me I would agree with Ken about the mood of the scene.

It works for me, Bill. Love the mood.

I like it.. It shows a frigid environment with the bison moving through "their world" in a ongoing quest for survival.

Bison in snow always has the possibility of being a grand image. This has a feel be it more subtle of the togetherness such animals need to survive the harshness of nature. I think its a nice capture Bill of a very wintery scene.

Hey Bill, it looks like these guys are headed somewhere? I like the mood in this shot.

Thanks to everyone for taking time to leave a comment.

Tom, you're right, they are headed for their second breakfast. The herd of about 30 or so had been at the pond drinking after their first breakfast. I watched them for an hour or so, but had a few other places to visit before the ice and hoar frost started to melt and had to move on.

Bill, I think it captures a moment in time. That makes it interesting to look and look. Great capture.
