In the Golden Grasses
This was a very impromptu shot. When I spotted what may be a mother and two young I stopped and quickly got out and shot this, not much time for camera adjustments. With just the 70-200 non-IS lens on I didn't expect it to be super sharp being a quick hand help shot. But the feel and look I like, so thought I would share it.

Lens: Canon EF70-200 f/4L @ 200mm
Exposure: f/4, 1/160, ISO-100
Crop: 50% of original

Not bad partner. The deer are probably thinking "is he crazy ... handholding 200 mm at 1/160 without IS?" Nice moment captured with steady hands. Nice work Brad!

Impromptu or not, the light and composition here is beautiful. The golden color of the grass is especially nice, and you did a good job of holding back the highlights while capturing some detail in their faces. Great job Brad.

Twin fawns are actually quite common. Nice capture on an impromptu scene.

For a "grab" shot this is great. Nice capture with good lighting and color in the grasses. I would be happy with this shot as a "planned" shot.
