Ridge line
One of my favorite lines to ski. The ridge line here is in the Mt Baker Ski Area backcountry. Specifically, the ridge off the back of Hemispheres dropping into the Swift creak area. This was last Thursday in the middle of a bluebird day after 36 inches fell in 3 days. It was definitely one of the best days I've ever had up there.

I like the composition and the trees look great. I think it is a little under-exposed - it looks fairly neutral gray on my laptop here. The tree an the RHS is a nice foreground anchor - but it would work better if it were in focus. I think you had plenty of light to work with if you were inclined to stop down and get the whole scene in focus. Am I correct in assuming that you were intentionally trying to keep that tree out of focus to prevent it from distracting from the rest of the scene?

The ski tracks on the LHS don't contribute much - they aren't really doing the "only one person has been here" job IMHO - mostly because they aren't the subject of the shot. The subject appears to be the snow blowing over the hill top.

Looks like a great day for skiing - if it wasn't too windy.

I guess I just wanted to share a little. Although I really likes the clouds near the peak, I also wanted to show the immaculate face in the lower right. I've actually have been trying to work on the out of focus anchor with trees to give a little more sense of depth.

1 more to share with you guys from the day. I was really disappointed it was slightly out of focus though. must have been moving to fast.

Glad you did "share a little," wish I had been there too  . The center, especially the light in the right, reach for greatness and I like that area a lot. The left (ski track and darkness) and the right (close tree) distract more than help though.

I love the action shot, in-focus next time and you've got a winner.

Looks like a great day of views and skiing! I can see why it's your favorite place. Glad you put 'em up for sharing purposes. Makes me want to be there catching you coming down like that. Very cool!

The first post has a heckuva lot going for it. You could crop out the out of focus R side and still have an awesome image.
