Dipper with Nest Lining
EOS 20D, 400mm, 5.6, 1/25, ISO 800, bag hide
Hi all
Well, its that time of year again - managed to score a couple of hours to go and see what the Dippers were up to down here in Devon. The previous year's nests have yet to get going but these guys nest under a waterfall and were the ones I took chick pictures of 4/5 years ago so even if its a different pair it shows how Dippers won't abandon a good nest site and will re-use it for many years. This is the female (I think) about to fly up into the nest - the branch hangs down from it as a natural perch for them.
A lovely shot with plenty of interest in it Mark. Good composition and bags of detail too. It looks just a little light on this monitor but could be my works set up.

It looks a little light to me too, but other than that a superb shot.
