Konza Sunset
I shot this Friday evening at around 6pm when Ken and I were shooting together (although we didn't know it at the time) on the Konza Prairie. The sun was on the horizon and it looked like a good time to try a shot of the trees against the light.

Thanks for looking at yet another Kansas shot.

This must be from somewhere along the creek. From the looks of this colorful sky Merle I'd say our gathering was one day too late!

Wish I had been out on Konza that Friday. I recognize these tree tops (I think I do anyway). Nice color in the sky, makes me want to get out and go hiking.

Beautiful rainbow of pink, orange and purple in the sky. And the center trees have lots of character and are nicely shaped...great shot, Merle.

Thanks for the kind comments. Yes, it is along the creek just before the "Y" junction on the main trail leading into the area. This was the warmest part of my trip. Just a light jacket and an even lighter breeze.
