Reflective wagtail
My local pair of Grey Wags by the waterfall.
D700 500mm f4.5+1.4xtc and ISO640 1/250s

This works better as a larger image.

I think I'd be inclined to crop some of the lower half of the image in order to make the bird less central in the frame but other than that I like it.

Like the idea and the crop, and good job at freezing that ever-wagging tail!

Nice, some of the highlights seem a little bright on my monitor. Great viewpoint.

Nice subject but on my monitor it looks like its been sharpened to death, theres something wrong with the quality, but as i say it could be my monitor.

Nice shot though.

Hmm looks ok here, but the fine detail does look poor due to the size.

This links to a larger image (though resized by the website so sharpness maybe a little off still).

Really like this, how the dark water in the lower half of the frame contrasts with the brighter top half with the little spit of mud and wagtail dividing it up. There's a bit of a halo around the head in the larger version

I'm liking this a lot Paul, its different from the standard shot, gives an impression of what the bird is doing and its habitat

Hi, Having looked at your larger version I can see that the problem is in the condensing and my monitor. It's a lovely shot.
