Pillsbury Crossing
Here's a closer up shot of one of the cascades at Pillsbury Crossing taken that cold morning during our outing. This was my favorite stop of the day (probably because it was out of the wind!)

ISO 100
F29 @ 1/6

Hey Angela, Nice capture. I like the way you moved in a lot closer than I think the rest of us were doing. The ice rims in the lower left and upper right give good testimony to how cold it was that day. The golden color of the rocks is a nice offset to the water flow. This couldn't have been easy with how poorly you were feeling.

Angela, this is the best image I have ever seen from Pillsbury Crossing. You have the balance provided by the ice LL & UR, a very nice exposure selection showing water movement without stopping the action or turning it silky smooth. And you handled the mid-morning light extremely well, no blown highlights and plenty of shadow detail too.

This is one of my favorites of yours! Keep up the great work! :toast:

Well done, Angela. You captured the light and water just right.

You captured this very well. Love the ice in both corners and the silky/icey feel. Well done!

Very nice capture. I like your shutter speed to capture the "angel hair" water. I find that with smaller falls and cascades, between 1/10th and 1/2 sec work very well. I usually try both ways. Farther away, several seconds usually works better.

Nice shot! I like the way you placed the rocks on both sides in this composition, it 'feels' well balanced to me.

Nice job handling the highlights on a sunny day. The shutterspeed worked real well too, of course you might not have had much choice in that light without one of Wayne's fancy nd filters.
