I won fifth place in one of DPR's Olympus challenges last week. It was only the second time Iv'e entered and it is not a great prize but it was still fun.
The theme of the challenge was "curved perspective lines".I took this picture on a trip to Europe in 2003. The snow fences are above Wengen Switzerland, and are built to protect the mountain villages from avalanches in Winter.
Congratulations, and what interesting fences they provide great lines. I was wondering what purpose these fences served, until I read what you had wrote. Very cool.
Congratulations! Doesn't matter if the prize wasn't that great - what matters is the recognition for your work. That is a really cool shot. Dang, it looks steep! Thanks for sharing your good news.

Nice image! It sounds like you need to submit some more photos for competition!
Congrats!! Cool shot, never would have guessed what the fences were for.

Well when someone says "you're not in Kansas anymore" this is what they mean! I have friends in Switzerland but have never been fortunate enough to visit them. A really neat perspective Ken; congrats on the recognition!
p.s.I'll bet the walk up was a bi***!!
