Sea Eagle on the look out.
Stil processing the images of Norway. This is another Sea Eagle and because of that low POV it's a bit different than the rest.

Hey Edwin,

Magnificent creature. The background is distant and OoF enough not to be too much of a distraction. I like the point of view although it seems a bit unnatural having the OoF snow (?) in the foreground and the eagle sitting on a tree. I keep imagining a pygmy tree rather than a hillside.

The detail of the feather is incredible. I was in Norway last weekend and the weather was terrible. I'm glad you got something .

I know it is the dull overcast conditions, and it portrays accurately the cold situation, but a dose of old fashioned warm up filter, or in modern terms a colour temp change - it is just too blue saturated for me on my monitor set-up, overall effect is though it were underexposed. Also the OOF foreground just doesn't sit right for me either. The sharpness and portraiture are fine, it just doesn't work for me as an image - sorry for being so negative!

Don't be sorry Mike. UKNP is not just a matter of showing images but more to hear good critiques. Thanks for that. Very useful.

A lovely shot of the eagle itself Edwin but the band of white at the bottom doesn't work for me - it must be jarring with the context of it perched in a tree
