B Owl at dusk
After an hour of waiting and the light gone I spotted this one though a gap in the hedge on the way home. I took about 15 shots and only got 3 almost sharp but I like the lighting and back ground .It was shot into the fading light which I think ads to the feel of the moment.

Lovely shot, with a definite feeling of dusk about it. I wonder about that blade of grass to the right of the post, whether it would be better to clone it out, but a minor nit on a beautiful picture.

thats really lovely, the light adds so much to the mood, and the background colours really complement the colour of the bird.

Fantastic background colours. My initial reaction was that it needs straightening,I understand that the old post would not be straight but looks slightly awkward,Beautiful image either way, I would try to clone the grass stem out

Bob

A first class shot enhanced by the light. Grass stem works for me its as is.

This works really well Bob. As has been said above, the background colours really compliment the markings on the bird and the direct, 'I've clocked you!' look tops it off.

Lovely shot Bob but I do agree with Dave that the owl looks a bit wonky

Really nice shot, theres lots of these shots knocking around at the moment and the background fade from dark to the lighter colour, really makes this stand out from the rest imo. No nits from me, fine as it is.

Hello

I like the dusk feel to your image but I'm in the camp that thinks some rotation is called for.

Superb plumage on this Owl, agree with the others, needs a slight tweak to the left. Background looks good and you done well getting a shot at that speed, looks like there was some wind about too judging by the grass movement..

Nice work.

I went back and looked at the post, not a special journey you understand, I’m not that sad, well not yet. It is on the skew but here is a version of the shot with the post upright and the grass cut. Thanks for all your comments .

Bob.
