This is a sunset shot from tonight taken at the Olsburg Marsh area on Tuttle Creek Lake. I had the opportunity to shoot with a fellow photographer from Lawrence that hopefully will be joining NPN soon. I didn't think we were going to have any light at all, but right at the end of the evening the sun came out to pose for a few shots before going down for the day.
We were lucky to get this color at the last minute, glad we were near a place to find something interesting to shoot.
This was shot with AF, I probably should have used the hyperfocal distance or maybe backed off to f16, maybe some diffraction crept in at f22 that softened the trees a touch.

Setting the hyperfocal distance would have been nice but in this case I really like the results of AF. This has a painterly quality that people will like, people like me!

A few more shots from the evening are online at:

Did you use auto focus for this shot? The distant trees are a little softer than I would expect for f/22. Have a great weekend and try not to get wet!
