So I'm tired of doing, well, whatever I was doing. Started digging through some old folders.. It's amazing what interesting things you find sometimes. This is one I found and like quite a bit, but I'm unsure if it has a broader appeal. What do you think?

I was drawn to it because of the (obvious) framing, and multitude of layers, colors and light in the background.

Kurt... I think this is a beauty also!!! :toast: I think this can cropped from the left and present it more balanced. Beautiful light and place.... great capture...regards, Rajeev

Kurt, I've looked at this a few times. I think you're right about the lack of broad appeal. It's an unconventional perspective. And that's not a negative. For me, the subject matter seems too "hidden", and maybe too spread out vertically. It just doesn't seem very cohesive. But you're, not getting enough feedback - so there's my honest take. I'd say keep shooting and offering more of this "I like it" stuff. It's what gets you places ... or so I believe.

I'm really big on cropping, as it can really focus the impact of your subject matter. So, I might suggest cropping out the bright areas near the top of the frame. Maybe even a square crop in the middle. Just food for thought.

Jesse, yeah, it's a strange one. One of the biggest things to remember in the field is to *not* ask yourself - "Will this have appeal? Is it marketable?".. By limiting your definition of marketable through an artists perception you severely limit your creativity. In other words, like you said, shoot 'I like it' stuff.

I generally shy from large crops, I hate to lose pixels when I've only got 10mp - but I'll give it a try, definitely. I really appreciate the thoughts, thanks.
