Walked the dogs at the same place as yesterday and took a longer lens not expecting to see anything. Weather wet and yeuch. Walked full length of Pill, saw nothing turned around and on way back there they were again. Three fantastic otters. Dropped to the deck and managed about a dozen frames before they decided to leave. Who says lightning doesn't strike twice! Now what are my chances of the same thing happening if I take a 500mm and tripod?
Much prefer this to the other one, really great expression.. Despite the dull light the subject stands out quite nicely. I also like the perspective as it makes a change from eye level groundpod style shots of water wildlife.
He's just in the right place in the shot too.

Excellent shot Robert. My 7 year old daughter really likes his whiskers

Sod's law says that the chances are slight, but you have to be in it to win it as they say. I would be back down there pretty smartish myself.
Love the shot, it looks cold in there. eric
Keep going , they may be passing though but you have to be there to find out and with luck and good light you could be in with a chance of some great shots, good luck.
