John

If you have read some of my posts, you will see that I always post full frame, so that I don’t put any of my own thoughts into the presented image, as I want to learn what others think about what I do.

Surely, this at least implies that I do read all the comments made on my own posts. I greatly value any comments made on my work and I do take them on board.

When I’m working on my computer, I have outlook open at all times, primarily so that I can send e-mails as required when working, but that also gives me access to copies of all replies to my own posts.

If you look at the window you open, “Post a Topic”, when compiling a post for this forum, you will see that there is an option, to be notified via e-mail when replies are received/posted. I always tick the YES box.

When I say, and I quote “ “N.B. I don’t as a rule, revisit a post, so please e-mail me with any queries.” I’m referring to others posts not my own as you will see I said “ “revisit a post” not “MY post. I have learnt the hard way, that there are certain people on the forum, who like to try and score points at my expense, Makes me shake in me boots.

One thing tho’ you say “so not much point in saying a lot really is there”. Are you saying, that the comments you make are for the eyes of the author of the work only, and aren’t of interest to the others who might view the post, who might thus want to learn from the comments made. I thought that that was an integral part of the forum. Note to myself, MUST reread the guide lines.

Nice one Ray, where was this taken?

Hi Ray, I was wondering what the thought process is behind shooting at f13 and using a cable release? Just curiosity more than anything...

Cheers

I guess you shot F13 to keep all the bird in focus - are they big birds? if so you've succeeded, but image looks too bright to me again and the habitat not aesthetically appealing to me - guess it depends if its a straightforward 'nature' shot rather than anything 'arty' as it were. Also, the breast is starting to burn out - you must remember we're not used to such sunny conditions here!

I really like this image, and IMO the grass and water adds to the image.Very nice details.
