Sunset View Talimena Scenic Drive
Not sure about this image but thought I would share it anyway.

A little different from what you normally see at this location.

15 minutes earlier might have been better?

I concur with Larry, a bit earlier would have caught the sun just peaking over the hills. What aperture and shutter speed did you use?

That's sure some clear air - great visibility for miles...

This was sunset, right? I'm thinking a few minutes later might have been a little better, but I still like the timing on this one. Nice starburst pattern, and the flare really doesn't hurt this at all.

Ed,

You make me want to visit the Talimena Scenic Drive again real soon. This 55-mile drive has the distinction of having the highest elevation with the most far reaching views in the Midwest and South, excluding Texas.

That's my conclusion and I'm sticking with it. At least, that's what it says in my scenic drive book.

I assume you've been to Sunset Point? While in a rush to get there one evening, I came across a young bear right alongside the road.

Best,
Don

Hey Ed, nice vista. I tend to agree with Bill, a few minutes later would have been nice, but still a nice take on the area. I checked out your new website and it is really nice. It looks like you have been getting to travel some lately.

I think this was taken at sunset point. Thanks for the suggestions.
