I took this image around five years ago. It is a small stream in Eagle Fern Park near Estacada.
I used a Zone VI 4x5 Field View with a Schneider Symmar 210mm lense at F32 and 1/2 second on Velvia 50 film. I was attracted to the soft light and the vibrancy of the greens.
I like the water Phil and agree with how beautiful the grees are, it is very dreamy and realistic looking even with the downed tree.

Nice! Although I'm a confirmed digiphile, I have to admit that I haven't seen a Photoshop trick or plug-in that has yet managed to give us "Velvia green."
I like the look of the water's flow and the symmetry of the comp. Greens are lovely. A very PNW scene!

i really like the green color and flow of the water. The fern is a perfect addition as well. My only nitpick (take it with a grain of salt) is the downed limb that separates the image in half. I think it would flow better without the limb, but i'm glad you didn't rearrange nature for the sake of a picture! Nice work.

For me, crop out the top to the bottom of the branch on the right. :)
This is a peaceful scene but the scan is not helping, imho. It looks faded, and there is an overall green cast. I would say the cast might be due to Velvia but the exposure time is short enough that I'm not sure. I'll bet this looks much nicer as a print.

Phil: This is a beautiful scene for sure, but I find myself wishing you had just panned right a little to include the half-cropped stone.
