Native Rock Scenic Byway BW conversion
This is another black and white conversion I've been working on and was shot on the Native Rock Scenic Byway.

Canon 20D, Canon 10-22mm@10mm, f22, 0.6 sec, ISO 100. Converted to BW using BW Styler Plugin

And here is the original color shot.

Isn't it amazing the detail you get with black and white...very nice image!

great job on the conversion, I like the lines of the image and the dominating clouds; looks like an interesting place to shoot

Great B & W conversion, are you doing this in CS4 with the plug in, Scott?

The texture in the grasses is more prominent in B&W, but I love the milk and honey clouds in the color version. A little curve adjustment to the foreground midtones and shadows might help. Great subject and composition!

The B+W works better for me. The rock wall jump out more and the sky looks even more impressive in monochrome.

Thanks all!

Tom: I'm using the BW Styler plug-in with CS3.
