Does anyone use this to build your websites? Does it work? Is it lame? Is it just for baby websites or can I build a rather complex studio website out of it?

I had never heard of it before so I took a look at it downloaded a demo version played with it.
To be honest I wouldn't pay $349 that is for the pro version $129 for the basic but that only does half a job. You don't say what platform you are using.
I run windows Vista and I use either, Adobe Dreamweaver or Microsoft's Expression as I use a lot of php css and mySql with my site. and from what I can see I don't think I would have that much freedom I think if one wanted to build a basic web site it would be fine.
But please remember all I did was down load and try a demo version and IMHO i would not rush and buy a copy of it. I think stick with the tried and true Dreamweaver or Microsoft expression (used to be frontpage with a lot of improvements).
