Spring has been cancelled.

About the only thing I would do differently is open up the shadows a bit. Gotta love those Spring greens....

This is nice Ned. Those greens are great, exposure of the ripple is spot on, and the detail is excellent. I would echo mark in that the left side could use a little lightening up. I too am anxiously awaiting getting into the gorge soon :toast:

Canceled? What? Nobody told me. The cherry trees and willows are blooming, and I even saw a buzzard the other day. That always means that spring is a comin' - when the buzzards come back around.

As for the photo, I agree with the suggestion of lightening the left side. maybe not so much as in opening the shadows, but instead dodging the bits of fern and moss that are already catching the light. That would help give a 3-D pop to the shot.

I'm anxiously waiting for the greenery to start to fill in a little around here as well. Once the salmonberries start going, it's "game on" for me!

I haven't seen one of these in a while. I kind of miss them. I really like it!!!

Thanks my friends.. I was kind of going for a dark look here.. the JPEG is pretty deceiving as the original file and print will be much more lighter and detailed..

Gawd I missed these, Ned. The forecast for the eastside at least (east of the the cascades, that is) calls for "unusually cold temperatures through June". :frown:

Ahhhh, cold babbling creek. This picture is the essence of calm. I like everything about this.

And I have knee high boots to wade in it now.
