Tucson ah Tucson
Just back from a week in Tucson, lots more photos on my website if you want to see mostly birds, some with very hard names!
Highly recommend the desert museum but the desert is cool too.

Really enjoyed the set Bill. The images brings back a lot of memories from my youth. I needed it today.

Looks like you saw a lot of the desert life, but didn't get a good shot at any javelina or badgers.
Stayed on the west side of town most of the time from what it appears as well.

Very productive trip, Bill. Wonderful images. I like the cactus and yellow blooms shot the best, and great that you got a quail. They aren't easy to find.

Great set of birds!

I like the above pic. I think I'd crop off the top of this image a little above the cacti, and crop out much of the dark foreground at the bottom (unless you're able to bring out a lot more detail in the shadows). All of that seems extraneous to the main elements of the image, which are the large, impressive cacti and sunset.

Most of the rest of the images are for the birds! (and I mean that in a good way, of course)

A classic Saguaro scene, Bill. What gives with the bird naming out there? Talk about some tongue twisters. Regardless, you came away with some sweet shots.

I browsed through your images earlier today Bill, you sure had a productive trip shooting birds!. I like this classic scene you posted here too, I would perhaps crop it a bit tighter though. Very nice collection indeed my friend!.

Bill, Nice group of shots. You sure did well for the short time you were there. I guess I know who to ask if I can't identify a bird.

Great stuff. Looks like you found Signal Hill? I think I should have stopped at the desert museum when I was down there -- next time...

Nice stuff, Bill.
I was out there the last week in February, and even ran into Ken Wyatt during a stop to the desert museum.
I've been putting out one fire after another since I got back and haven't had much of a chance to sort/edit/post any of my shots, but things should slow down for me in about another week.
