Green Lacewing-Chrysoperla carnea
Here's a shot of one of my favorite insects...the Green Lacewing. These guys have big oily eyes wich inspired me to photograph this one on the bottom side of a DVD to match the oily eyes.

Perhaps i should have named this one..."Saturday Nigh Fever"

Some more experiments with this Green Lacewing can be seen on my Weblog: http://jeroenstel.blogspot.com/

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

nice shot, the detail is spectacular, really is the most amazing eye, do find the double reflection from the DVD a bit jarring though

Nice detail and thinking but not my cup of tea

an interesting shot Jeroen, technically very good indeed. I'm not quite sure about the multiple reflections but I still like the idea.

A psychedelic lacewing. Great shot - I like it a lot.
