It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Vincent Munier. So once in a while a like to pretend I'm him

I just love his style but it's very very difficult to get the same idea. His images maybe look quite simple but I'm having a hard time trying.

Nikon D3, Nikon 24-70/2.8 iso 250 1/320 sec. F6.3 full frame

I love this. The use of space, the falling snow and the diagonals created by the snowline, tree and raven. Very nice.

Cheers

Magic! Forget VM - do your own thing - this is great, a real sense of space, wildness and cold, and the composition is spot on - love the relationship between trees and bird. Ravens are fantastic birds, much ignored in favour of the sexy raptors by many phototgs, but they are really rewarding subjects, and not an easy option. I think this is a lovely lovely piece of work.

really lovely image, the simple shapes work really well here, personally i think it could stand to be a bit brighter without losing the mood

What a superb composition - most striking! I agree it would be worth lightening it a little, especially the snow.

Thanks everyone,

I did brighten it up a bit and try to show the actual situation at the time. It was a snow blizzard and the sky was pretty dark:)
