Predawn elk (from the archives) - w/reposts
I would post this in the "Hidden Treasures" thread, but I think that one's losing steam quickly. (My proof is the fact that it didn't double in size overnight once Grant posted that shot of Nat "C.C. Deville" Coalson. )

In pulling images for a submission, I came across this shot from my 6x7cm days. I never did anything with it, because the elk on the left had her tongue sticking out, and the elk on the right had some motion blur in one if its front legs. Today I decided to scan it and fix those minor problems, and this is the result. I'm glad I never trashed it.

Wow, Todd, this is really good - I love the silhouettes and the pre-dawn light gives it an incredible punch. Keep 'em coming.. This feels very very 'wild'.

I think I believe the third more than the second.

That sharpening halo around the saucer is a tad too much, for my taste.

Is that last one a self portrait Todd? I love the first and next to last.

I've noticed that you've been posting some killer wildlife images over the years. Keep at it!

Now you need to add a lightning bolt connecting the saucer to one of the daddy elk's antlers!
